I feel so free!

Welcome to the new chapter of my life - period liberation. Every month I put off buying these was a month wasted. I hate bunchy underwear so this set is just dreamy - buying my second now!

I brought these 6 months ago & haven't brought tampons or pads since

I absolutely love them.

I was skeptical when I brought my first pair, which was the thong, but I thought I'd give it a go as I wanted a more sustainable solution for my periods. When they arrived, I tried them on & I must say, the fit is amazing! I like to wear my thongs sitting on my hips & these do just fine, even feel sexy wearing them!

I used them for the first time on my period, and it litterally felt illegal, how can something this easy exist? No need to carry pads, tampons etc, you just, exist, but your still on your period? It's actually amazing. To the point where I'd love to be an affiliate for this brand 🤣

Overall: absolutely delighted and I will always buy from this brand for as long as they exist. I know own 3 pairs & honestly, sometimes wear them as normal undies 🤣

I also wanted to mention how nicely the brand is evolving, once you've made a purchase you get different email updates etc. & from my point of view, they are always trying to be better, they are always listening to our opinions/suggestions and creating something better. You couldn't ask for a better brand.

Do people with vaginas even design these things??

I should start off this review by saying I typically never write reviews. But being allergic to pads and tampons I have tried many brands of period underwear and feel I might have something to add. (For anyone who has never tried any: get some. They will change your life)

I’ll start off with the negative.
Why is the padding in the front so short? This is a problem with any brand of period underwear I have tried so far. I cannot be the only person with a period who bleeds more towards the front than back? It is baffling to me. I keep having to pull the pants up higher to get the coverage I need in the front, which make them ill-fitting all around. I know WUKA have other styles that do have extra coverage in the front, but those are all aimed for (extra) heavy flows, I only have a light-medium flow so I don’t want to be wearing thicker padding, I just want it longer in the front.
Second negative, I trusted other reviews and ordered 2x up from my normal size (usual L, I ordered 2XL) and they fit perfectly. I’m my opinion that sizing is very misleading. Again this does happen with other brands as well. Unlike what the designers of these underwear think, I do not need them to fit any tighter than my regular underwear.

Now on to the positives.
The WUKA period pants are really comfortable. They are softer than some others I have tried (although not the softest in my collection). The thong in particular is very flattering on and I would dare say I even feel sexy wearing them. And on top of that the price point of these underwear is extremely reasonable. Besides ModiBodi, WUKA is probably my favourite brand I’ve tried so far. (ModiBodi is softer, but also pricier + they use wool so I can only wear their vegan range as I’m allergic to wool as well)

Long story short: I’m a fan of the WUKAs but I wish they made their high waist underpants in a light flow version + added longer padding in the front of the thongs.
