Heavy Flow period pants are WUKA’s most popular choice, holding 20 ml for reliable protection on heavier days. Soft, breathable, and reusable, they are perfect for work, school, or long days when you need trusted comfort and security.

Heavy Flow absorbency is designed for days when your period is heavier and you need extra protection. These pants lock in leaks and odour while still feeling soft and breathable.
Heavy Flow pants hold 20 ml or more, around 4 tampons or 3 pads. This sits between Medium Flow (15 ml) and Super Heavy (60 ml), making Heavy the best everyday choice for strong flow days without the thickness of Super Heavy.
Heavy Flow pants can be worn overnight for many people. For peace of mind on very heavy nights or postpartum bleeding, Super Heavy or Overnight styles offer maximum back coverage and capacity.
Heavy Flow absorbency is available across popular styles such as Midi Brief, High Waist, Bikini, and Boxers. This gives you the flexibility to choose the cut that feels most comfortable and supportive for your body.
Most people find 3 to 5 Heavy Flow pairs ideal for the main part of their cycle, then mix with Medium Flow for lighter days or Super Heavy for the heaviest days. Teens and those with longer cycles may want more pairs to reduce laundry time.

Yes. WUKA period pants are lab tested, REACH compliant, and free from harmful chemicals. Independent testing has shown no silver detected in WUKA pants and none of the PFAS banned by REACH. WUKA does not use antibacterial treatments.

Rinse your pants or pads in cold water as soon as possible after use

RINSE OR WASH

After use, give them a quick rinse. It’s up to you where you choose to rinse your underwear - some of us prefer to use a sink, some prefer to rinse in the shower, and others even have a dedicated WUKA-rinsing bucket! (Now that’s some true WUKA love!)

Machine Washable - place your pants or pads in the washing machine and wash at 30°

Machine Wash

Pop your WUKAs in the washing machine with similar, dark coloured garments and wash at 30 to 40 degrees. (We recommend 30, as it’s better for the environment!).

Our Seamless, Swim Brief and Re-Purpose underwear should be washed in cold water. We also recommend washing any WUKAs with mesh or lace in a wash bag. This will help prolong the life and the strength of the mesh.

Use your favourite detergent as normal, but please don’t use fabric conditioner. Fabric conditioner can reduce the absorbency of your period underwear over time, which isn’t ideal.

Alternatively, WUKA Period Underwear love to be hand washed. Not everyone has the time for this, but hand washing can extend their lifespan.

Air dry your WUKA period pants and pads on the washing line or on an airer

Dry

Air dry your WUKA Period Underwear outside on the line or indoors on an airer - it’s up to you (or the weather). They tend to dry faster when they’re inside out, too.
